My dear fellow side seat drivers, our titles are in jeopardy! My MIL got her son a cute little "GPS for Dummies" as part of his christmas and gave it to him Thursday. Oh how cute, I thought, just what he needs. Little did I know that this GPS "thing" was also another side seat driver. We leave his parents house Thursday afternoon to head to my Mom's and he is so excited about his new "toy" that he just about drives us off the road several times trying to install it & turn it on. Finally he gets it all set up & we're driving along when out of nowhere we hear "You're exceeding the speed limit". Hmm, well that reminder is a good thing for him. Then as we got into town it starts going off, annoying I might add; in 3 tenths of a mile turn left. I turned to him & said "That's MY job!"
"I have ONE LOUSY JOB ON THIS SHIP. It's stupid but I'm going to do it!" I started saying while he's laughing so hard he can't drive straight. Wait, he can't drive straight not laughing either! So anyway, IMHO a GPS system is just another side seat driver who I guess according to Men is allowed to tell them how to drive while we get to sit there annoyed that we no longer have anything to do in the car anymore! I'm seriously thinking about throwing it out the window the next time we're on a trip or banning it from being on.
